Launched by the FinTech Poland Foundation, the ecosystem includes several participants from the country's digital finance market, including BNP Paribas Bank Polska, Mastercard, BLIK, Kontomatik and WOO Network. With an aim to increase international recognition of the Polish fintech landscape, the ecosystem will help overcome barriers and create opportunities for growth.
“Without integration, mutual inspiration, and exchange of ideas and experiences, we will not be able to develop, innovate and jointly create a modern financial centre in Poland. We welcome on board those of you who have already decided to cooperate with us, and we invite those who [-] see the potential for development in this cooperation."
- Pawel Widawski, CEO of FinTech Poland
Market standards and regulatory dialogue
Members of the FinTech Poland Ecosystem will be involved in decisions made by groups such as the DORA Standards Working Group, the European Digital Finance Association (EDFA), and the Polish Trade and Investment Agency. Additional activities include developing legislation for markets in crypto-assets (MiCA), tokenization, open banking, and elements related to digital finance.
“During the process of looking for payment operators to cooperate with us, we discovered that many operators struggle with issues regarding cooperation with crypto partners. As a result, we were asked to join the FinTech Poland initiative and help establish a framework for communication and regulation between participants in traditional finance and the crypto sector. ”
- Dawid Sendecki, AML Officer at Zonda
Zonda is looking forward to working with members of the FinTech Poland ecosystem to provide valuable insight into the further development of the fintech industry. With extensive experience in the effective implementation of digital finance regulation, Zonda is well-positioned to help advance the group’s efforts.
